My Resolutions for 2014...

The last day of 2013 is here. Can you believe it? I hope you all can look back on this year and remember all the things that made you smile. Now, on to 2014! Time to make those resolutions, but this year let’s make ones that we can really stick to! Here are my five things I’m sticking to...

  1. Get back to drinking my Daily Elixir. I’m dehydrated. In the worst way. It was so bad the other day I gave myself a permanent wrinkle on the back of hand after demonstrating the pinch test. The goal is make this nightly and aim for at least 2 liters a day. To 2 liters of water, add 1 sliced cucumber, 1 sliced lemon, and a handful of crushed mint. Steep overnight in the fridge. 

  2. Get back to running. I feel like I go through phases where running a mile is child’s play and then running a mile is close to impossible. Time to bust out the new kicks and get back on track. Literally. 

  3. Floss more. Admit it. You don’t floss everyday. Neither do I. But, after reading about how inflammation from your gums and periodontal disease can lead to heart disease, I’m getting back on the horse. 

  4. Write more thank you notes. When is the last time you wrote a thank you note? I mean, a real pen to paper thank you note? My mom used to make me write them, but without her reminding me I just don’t get around to it. Time to make mom proud.

  5. Sit down for more family meals.  My blog post back in July talked about the importance of eating as a family and all the good things that come from it. With crazy work schedules and travel, we haven’t been able to sit down together as much as we’d like. The goal is to get back to sitting down together at least twice a week.
